Decreased Water Mobility Contributes To Increased α‐Synuclein Aggregation**

چکیده
The solvation shell is essential for the folding and function of proteins, but how it contributes to protein misfolding aggregation has still be elucidated. We show that mobility H2O molecules influences rate amyloid α-synuclein (αSyn), a associated with Parkinson's disease. When within reduced by presence NaCl, αSyn increases. Conversely, in CsI increased reduced. Changing solvent from D2O leads rates, indicating driven effect. not directly due change structural conformations αSyn, also influenced reduction both mobility. propose promoting intermolecular interactions.

Increased Insensible Water Loss Contributes to Aging Related Dehydration
Dehydration with aging is attributed to decreased urine concentrating ability and thirst. We further investigated by comparing urine concentration and water balance in 3, 18 and 27 month old mice, consuming equal amounts of water. During water restriction, 3 month old mice concentrate their urine sufficiently to maintain water balance (stable weight). 18 month old mice concentrate their urine a...
متن کاملDecreased T Cell Response to Mitogen and Increased Anti-cytoplasmic Antibody in Drug-Free Schizophrenic Patients
Background: Apart from genetic and environmental factors, activation of autoreactive mechanisms has been proposed to play a role in the pathogenesis of schizophrenia. In re-cent years, considerable work has been carried out to understand the role and contribution of the immune system in this disease. Objective: To investigate the T cell response to phytohaemagglutinin (PHA) and determine the se...
متن کاملDecreased Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid Content Contributes to Increased Survival in Human Colon Cancer
Among diet components, some fatty acids are known to affect several stages of colon carcinogenesis, whereas others are probably helpful in preventing tumors. In light of this, our aim was to determine the composition of fatty acids and the possible correlation with apoptosis in human colon carcinoma specimens at different Duke's stages and to evaluate the effect of enriching human colon cancer ...
متن کاملDecreased cGMP level contributes to increased contraction in arteries from hypertensive rats: role of phosphodiesterase 1.
Recent evidence suggests that angiotensin II (Ang II) upregulates phosphodiesterase (PDE) 1A expression. We hypothesized that Ang II augmented PDE1 activation, decreasing the bioavailability of cyclic guanosine 3' 5'-monophosphate (cGMP), and contributing to increased vascular contractility. Male Sprague-Dawley rats received mini-osmotic pumps with Ang II (60 ng·min(-1)) or saline for 14 days. ...
